The LISE CHARMEL Company was founded in 1950s in Lyon, the second largest city in France, historically recognized as the “Capital City of Silk”. The original company location was down in the historical quarter of the silk weavers, called "Croix-Rousse", then a center of the art craft and textile. It was the destination number one for customers and rich peopled from all over Europe seeking quality and luxury goods.
Originally an expert in bra manufacturing, it soon developed an up-market positioning with designs for all types of lingerie and corsetry.
