Henrique Rosset, a charismatic and determined entrepreneur, transformed his small shirt factory in the 1930’s into the most important textile manufacturer in South America. Today the Rosset Group is the largest textile manufacturer in Brazil, comprised of Valisere, leader in the high-end lingerie segment, and Cia.Maritima, the largest producer of beachwear in the country.
Considered the hottest and most sought after swimwear line in Brazil, Cia.Maritima was launched by Benny Rosset in 1990. Benny, Henrique’s grandson, is known for his quiet demeanor, impeccable ethics and passion for the swimwear collection that is undoubtedly the most sophisticated found on the sultry beaches of Brazil.
Benny created a unique marriage in Cia.Maritima; between decades of The Rosset Group’s fabric technology and expertise and the incorporation of detailed hand-work, fine embroideries, crystal beading and intricate lace. It is designed as a high-end boutique collection with very select distribution.
A man who is personally involved with the smallest details of the collection, Benny has closed his runway shows in the company of Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Frankie Rayder, Shirley Mallmann, Rachel Roberts and Ana Hickman. He is well known among the fashion elite and they have proudly lent their curves to Benny and the Cia.Maritima line.

Benny made his debut in New York at Olympus Fashion Week on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 2pm in the Promenade tent in Bryant Park. Over 20 of the hottest models from Brazil and beyond happily signed on for this spectacular collection—including supermodel Karolina Kurkova, who opened and closed the show.
